I was recently invited by Indira Institute, wakad,Pune, to talk to new batch of MCA students on 'Career Management". It was part of "Welcome" to new batch.

I was impressed by the infrastructure and resources the institute has. Before going there I was assuming that it would be a lecture in a class-room. To my surprise, they have a proper Auditorium dedicated only for IT students and all 140 students could sit-in!!.

I was surprised to meet IT Guru Dr. Deepak Shikarpur there. Realized that he frequently guides MCA students here.

Appreciate the efforts Indira management has put-in to build the capability of their students.

Earthquake in Pune

Today evening I was relaxing at home and at around 6.35 p.m. I experienced the building shaking for few seconds. I am sure it was an "earthquake"

It was very scary, firstI thought my building will scramble.

I rushed down to ground floor and also called up 100, police helpline.
Hope there is no major damage around.

Inflation - Zimbabwe

Came across this shocking figures in recent Business Today issue. It is mentioned that in Zimbabwe the Annual rate of inflation is 6.5 Quindecillon Novemedecillion %.
When I first read that, I thought it is written in some non-english language, but it is ENGLISH. BT said, it means '65 Followed by 107 zeros.

It means the prices double every 24.7 hours!!!!!!
Today, in India we have inflation around 6 %.
Imagine what the Zimbambwe ctizens must e going through. Is it that each country has their own defination of calculating Inflation.
Looks like Zimbabwe is #1 wrt inflation. They are also #1 in terms of value of currency note-suprised, they recently printed world's first 100 trillion dollar note in local currency.
